Ross trained at Loughborough College of Art with a further training in thrown pottery at Dartington in Devon.
He works with a red earthenware clay to hand-build a whole range of ceramic pieces, both sculptural and functional. Clocks form the main bulk of his work although he makes candelabra, candlesticks, 2D vases, dishes and anything he feels is a little bit different.
Ross doesn’t use moulds and every bit is modelled or built from scratch so no two finished pieces are ever the same.
“All my work has to be a pleasure to make and hopefully conveys that sense of fun as a finished piece.”
