Kenneth Webb

Born in London in 1927, Kenneth is one of the foremost contemporary painters in Europe. He has had a long and distinguished career and is still working hard at nearly ninety years of age.

Kenneth’s achievements and honours are too numerous to list in the space we have available but examples include – being appointed Head of the Painting School (Ulster College of Art, Belfast), founding the Irish School of Landscape Painting, becoming an elected member of the National Society and holding countless successful solo exhibitions all over the world. He has also had several books written about him and was the subject of the documentary “Kenneth Webb – A Life in Colour”.

Kenneth’s entire ethos revolves around colour – he pushes the boundaries of what his paintings can achieve by obsessional experimentation. His bold and original use of colour has influenced many of his contemporaries.
