Joan Bose

Joan has lived in Cornwall since 1984 after moving to St. Ives from London. During her time in Cornwall she has attended Falmouth College of Art, completing a two-year course in general Art & Design. Since then she has worked at the Tate St. Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden until 1998 when she moved to Truro.

Joan now produces handcrafted mirrors and glass furniture with an emphasis on using stained glass. The work is constructed using the copper-foil and lead techniques of Louis Comfort Tiffany, and much of her inspiration is taken from the Art Deco period.
