Dan Chapple

Dan has been producing raku ceramics since 1996 after completing his HND in Ceramics & Glass at Plymouth College of Art & Design.

His work is hand-thrown on a potter’s wheel. He then uses the slip resist raku technique and traditional crackle glazes to create the incredible surface decoration.

Dan draws inspiration from classic Grecian forms, as well as oriental pottery traditions. He is interested in the surface qualities that can be achieved by the raku process and is currently experimenting with new glazes.
